These Insert Ornaments were what I made for friends and relatives in 2021. The ornaments are about 3" in diameter. The outer is disc, most of which are cherry is turned on the lathe. The inner disc, or insert, most of which are holly, is then turned on the lathe and then a design is cut out using a scroll saw. The overlays, most of which are holly, start as a very thin (about 1/16") board. Six pieces are stacked up, and taped into a pad. The design is then cut out on a scroll saw.
